Breakfast and Dessert

Today I was craving sweet and savory so I decided to try a few new things with some gluten free frozen waffles we bought forever ago.



First I did a breakfast waffle. I fried two eggs (I like to scramble the yolk first) then topped them with a gluten free waffle and jam. I ended up eating the waffle with jam and the egg separately. Gluten free waffles aren't as sweet as regular frozen waffles so the jam was really good on top but I didn't like adding egg into that combo too. I just at the eggs on there own.

Then I made a dessert waffle dish. Gluten free waffle with vanilla ice cream and real maple syrup. So yummy! The waffle ads that bit of crunch that contrasts the smooth ice cream perfectly. I chose maple syrup to top my ice cream (I guess it's the Canadian in me) but it would be just as good with chocolate syrup, caramel, jam, whatever you wanna try.




Any other good ideas for dressing up gluten free waffles?
