Who Dey

Two Sundays ago I got to go to my second Bengals game this season! I love watching professional football and I used to go to games all the time in high school but now that I'm down at university I'll go years without going to a game. The week they were playing The Jets AND we won, what more could a girl ask for. My girlfriend Megan came with me and we sat with a bunch of Charlie's family. Even though he couldn't come because of work, I guess we'll just have to go to another game ;)

Oktoberfest

A few weekends ago Charlie and I had a fun date night. We had dinner a beautiful restaurant called Coba, it's has the worlds largest private jellyfish tank (or something like that). You almost feel like you could be at a club in Miami when your there, it's filled with beautiful lighting effects and chandeliers and of course the jellyfish.

After that when went to a local Oktoberfest. I've only been to one once before when I was little so this time around was a whole new perspective. Between the blackjack, games, and live music I can now say I'm a big fan of Oktoberfest!

It was nice breaking away from our go-to activities. I think I've mentioned how much I love trying new things and especially love hanging out with this guy. Hope everyone had a fun weekend as well!

Saturday Morning

It's actually Wednesday today, and it's dreary and cold, which reminded me that I forgot to post these pictures from the beautiful sunny Saturday a while back.

Tucker's new routine lately is to come and check on me in the morning once Natasha has fed him his breakfast. It was such a beautiful warm sunny day I just had to go down to the farmers market, so I grabbed a hat and Tucker's least and we went out to explore.

Flowers are something I always want to buy but for some reason never do. I don't quite know why, I'm a big fan of flowers as gifts, just never for myself I guess.

Latin Festival (Sarah's Part)

I've noticed that all the post have been about dogs lately, so here's something that has nothing to do with our favorite four legged friends.

This weekend there was a Latin festival downtown. I liked it so much I even went twice in one day. The first time was with our parents, we were just checking it out before dinner, which was unfortunate because there was so much yummy food. It's smelt so good, it took a lot of restraint not to order it all and spoil my dinner.

After dinner Charlie and I came back down so that he could check it out. We did a lot of window shopping and ended up buying nothing (no, not even the mohawk touqes). Charlie also got in trouble for playing the Peter Pan flute, apparently you're not allowed to test out the instruments. I tried super hard to get him to salsa dance with me but that wasn't going to happen so we settled for a few after dinner drinks. There's a new place downtown called the Jax that I hadn't tried yet so I was excited to. And it did not disappoint. The food was super yummy and lots of good drinks, I got the Moscow Mule (I'm a suckers for anything with ginger beer).

Normally I work on Saturdays and I miss out on all the weekend happenings, so it was really nice to be able to check everything out and spend the weekend with all my loves.

Dog Swim Part II

Hello world, It's been almost a month since I've posted. It's midterm season at university and I'm still getting a hang of this whole blogging thing.

Here are some picture from after the dog swim in September. We took Tucker and Bella and met some of Natasha's friends for lunch downtown. I was worried about Bella pulling a Marley and Me and dragging the patio table down the sidewalk but both dogs were so worn out from swimming they were content to just lay in the sun on the sidewalk.

Natasha and her friends don't ever come downtown so I'm slowing introducing them to new places, campus pizza and meal plans get old eventually and there's so many new yummy places downtown. It's really growing and I love it so much, trying new restaurants is one of my favorite things.
