So apparently we're in some kind of polar vortex? We don't have cable, I just check the weather on my phone, but apparently everyone on TV has been blaming the crazy cold on a polar vortex. Right now it's 1 degree Fahrenheit outside with a wind chill of negative 18!
Natasha, Tucker, and I are curled up in blankets trying to stay warm. Our one hundred and fifteen year old apartment doesn't keep the cold out very well. Whenever we're snowed in like this we usually always watch Grey's Anatomy together. It's our Netflix binge show, you know, that show that you started watching on season one and then before you know it you've been watching it for two days straight and you're on season three. We watch it separately too but we always seem to be within an episode or two of each other, and then when we watch it together we start on the episode of whoever is farther behind.
So even though it's well below freezing and I'm in a poorly insulated old house I'm quite content with my snacks and my blanket and my show. It's always good having a sister to keep you company in bad weather. In 2009 we had a snow storm so bad that school was canceled for an entire week. We got so bored, and legitimately couldn't leave the house because the roads were so bad that we built some pretty elaborate blanket forts. It's one of my favorite snowed in memories. What do you guy do when your snowed in?
